I dont have the rules for the Sicaran yet so im not 100% sure about them, I only know what ive read on the internet. And im guessing ill have to attempt to make some fair custom rules for them as I wouldnt think they would be covered in the 8th Edition so early. Ive also never played a single game yet, as I am still currently building up my army waiting for 8th Edition Codex to come out. They both can also be good AA units, but the Sicaran is much more situational, as its ability Legacy of Sarosh, whereas the Deredeo can stay as an AA unit if it doesnt move.
But the Deredeo has the Aiolos Missile Launcher, which can make it the ultimate ranged unit, as a anti-tank and a halfway artillery unit. From what ive read, the Sicaran can perform most of the same roles as the Deredeo, but is faster and better against infantry.
Im not sure if I should field the Deredeo Pattern Dreadnought or the Sicaran Battle Tank in 8th Edition 40k. Forgive me if this is in the wrong place, but I am not 100% sure where to post this at.
